At Antrisha Foundation, we believe that digital literacy is no longer a luxury—it's a necessity. As technology continues to shape everyday life, ensuring that women from underserved communities have access to digital knowledge and cybersecurity awareness is one of the most impactful steps toward empowerment. On 30th June, Antrisha Foundation successfully conducted a Digital Skills & Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop at Phulora Swadhar IDWC Foundation, Bibwewadi, bringing together women and girls from underserved slum communities for an engaging and practical learning experience.
A Warm Welcome filled with hope

The day began with the Antrisha Foundation team arriving at the Phulora Swadhar IDWC Foundation, where participants welcomed everyone with a beautiful prayer song that filled the room with positivity and warmth. The participants then greeted Ms. Manjusha Singh, Founder of Antrisha Foundation, with a respectful Namaste, creating a heartfelt beginning to a day dedicated to learning and empowerment. The enthusiasm and eagerness to learn were visible from the very first interaction, setting the tone for an impactful workshop.
Building Digital Confidence Through Practical Learning
The first session was led by Ms. Manjusha Singh, who introduced participants to essential digital literacy skills that many use in their daily lives but are often inaccessible to underserved communities due to a lack of exposure.
The interactive session covered:
- Creating a Gmail account
- Sending and receiving emails
- Searching safely on Google
- Using the internet responsibly
- Identifying suspicious websites and unknown links
- Protecting personal information online
- Searching for jobs and opportunities through Google safely
For many participants, this was their first structured introduction to the digital world. Coming from underserved communities, they had limited exposure to technology beyond basic mobile phone usage. The workshop helped bridge this digital divide by giving them practical skills they can immediately apply in education, employment, and daily life. The session was filled with questions, discussions, and hands-on demonstrations, making digital learning simple, accessible, and engaging.
Celebrating Every Woman's Journey

Following the digital literacy session, refreshments were served to all participants.
One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the distribution of "She Shines with Antrisha" badges to every woman and girl present. More than just a badge, it represented confidence, encouragement, and the belief that every woman deserves opportunities to learn, grow, and shine. This small gesture reflected Antrisha Foundation's mission of empowering women through education, skill development, and community support.
Understanding Cybersecurity in Everyday Life

The second session was conducted by Aishwarya, who introduced participants to the growing importance of cybersecurity awareness in today's digital world.
The session covered practical topics such as:
- Safe online banking practices
- Creating strong passwords
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- Common online scams and frauds
- Phishing attacks
- OTP fraud prevention
- Digital payment safety
- Cybercrime reporting procedures
- Important cybercrime helpline numbers
Participants actively engaged throughout the session by sharing real-life experiences and asking questions about scams they had encountered or heard about within their communities. The objective was simple: empower every participant to recognize online threats before becoming a victim.
Live Cybersecurity Demonstration by a Software Engineer
One of the most impactful sessions of the workshop was led by Mr. Aditya Tamane, Software Engineer, who transformed complex cybersecurity concepts into practical demonstrations that everyone could understand.
Using live demonstrations, participants experienced cybersecurity from a hacker's perspective.
The session demonstrated:
- What happens when someone shares an OTP
- How hackers gain unauthorized access to accounts
- Common hacking techniques used by cybercriminals
- How personal information can be exploited
- Safe browsing practices
- Real-world examples of cyber attacks
- Practical ways to stay protected online
Participants watched these demonstrations unfold live on their own mobile phones, making the learning experience highly interactive and memorable. Seeing cyber threats in action helped everyone understand why cybersecurity awareness is essential in everyday digital life.
Creating Lasting Impact

By the end of the workshop, participants had gained valuable knowledge that extended beyond technology. They left with increased confidence, practical digital skills, and a better understanding of how to protect themselves in an increasingly connected world. The day concluded with group photographs, shared memories, and inspiring conversations, reinforcing the belief that education and awareness have the power to transform lives.
